IT’S TIME TO BUILD A NEW WAY FORWARD FOR MISSOURI

Where adequately funded public schools anchor and strengthen our communities

Where quality and affordable healthcare is local and easily accessible

Where a good life is affordable for all

PRIORITIES

PUBLIC EDUCATION

I believe that strengthening our public schools through adequate funding allows our communities to thrive.

The Missouri Constitution guarantees free public education, but the state has repeatedly broken this promise.  When schools don’t get the money they are promised, children suffer, teachers and staff suffer and communities suffer, leading to their decline.  People don’t want to move to small towns where their children would need to travel over an hour each way by bus to school.

Public Education must be secured as was guaranteed and promised for every Missouri child.

Private education is a choice that parents make and should be paid by them, not with public money.

HEALTHCARE

We deserve to have capable healthcare accessible in and near our communities.

With nearly half of all Missouri rural hospitals at risk of closure,  with 13 counties of our district considered maternity care deserts, the issue of adequate healthcare is a major concern for all of us. When a resident needs to travel an hour or more for care, this jeopardizes a positive outcome.

I believe making healthcare truly obtainable for all is necessary for our district and our state.

Healthcare isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.

Healthcare is failing rural Missouri

Everyday life has become too expensive

COST OF LIVING

The cost of living has risen, our ability to cover the price increases has become challenging for most of us.   We notice these price hikes all around us:  at the grocery store, the gas station, rent, the doctor’s office, the pharmacy, in health insurance premiums, housing costs, utilities, insurance, childcare the list unfortunately continues.

People are having to make difficult choices and it is only going to get worse unless we do something different than has been done for the last two decades under Republican leadership.

No more Profits before People.
